2021 Survey from the Royal Osteoporosis Society

At Consilient Health, our vision has patients at its centre.  With this in mind, we want to share the important 2021 survey, undertaken by the Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS), entitled “Life with Osteoporosis 2021: the untold story”.

Dr. Ajay Shah, Head of Medical Affairs UK commented, “The ROS survey highlights that as well as the physical symptoms of osteoporosis and their impact on patients’ daily lives, there is a huge impact on their mental health due to social isolation, stress, and fear of falling.  The survey shows the need to better manage and support patients with this ‘silent disease’ and give them back their quality of life.”  Ian Sampson, Head of Marketing – Established Brands added, “We are delighted to be able to support the Royal Osteoporosis Society on raising awareness of this debilitating condition through the distribution of this report released on World Osteoporosis Day.  The report provides valuable in-depth insights into the challenges patients with this condition face on a day-to-day basis that go far beyond the physical.  It also highlights the challenges faced in treating and caring for patients with this condition where there are certain groups impacted more severely and disproportionately than others.”

Please find the full report here.  We wish the ROS well with this initiative that will raise the awareness of osteoporosis, the challenges of living with it and in its aim of improving the lives of osteoporosis patients.
