Consilient Health partners with The Victoria Foundation to support medical students across the UK

Consilient Health has made a donation to a Richmond-based charity that helps to fund the education of medical students nationwide.

The Victoria Foundation provides grants to students studying medicine, mobility aids to young people and accessible mini buses. While the latter are local initiatives throughout Surrey, medical grants are provided to students studying at universities across the UK.

If a student’s application is successful, they are able to put the grant towards anything they need – from study materials to medical equipment.

Consilient Health’s donation will help to support the studies of ten students over the coming financial year. However, we don’t just see this as a one-off donation; the funding of more healthcare professionals is core to the future success of the country and an ongoing partnership would help the next generation of doctors.

Karen Pulley, Sustainability Champion at Consilient Health says:

“We’ve chosen to work in partnership with The Victoria Foundation because they are a forward-thinking medical charity that aligns with many of Consilient Health’s values. We want to invest in creating more doctors for the future; it’s so important for our country and we need to be proactive and planning ahead with this.”

Graham Ball, CEO and Founder of The Victoria Foundation says:

“The Victoria Foundation is extremely grateful to Consilient Health for the donation which will fund Toolkit Grants for ten medical students from lower socio-economic backgrounds studying at universities around the country to help cover the cost of textbooks, study materials, medical equipment, or travel to hospital placements.

We are very much looking forward to developing a long-term partnership with Consilient Health where together we will be providing vital funds to support students during their studies on their way to becoming the NHS Doctors of the future.”
